Don joined Strike Energy in 1997 after working for 25 years in technical and management roles with GSI, Burmah/Woodside, Mesa and WMC Resources. Don served as Exploration Manager with WMC’s Petroleum Division for eight years and spent two years with WMC´s subsidiary in the USA, Greenhill Petroleum, where he worked alongside the principals of Cypress E&P, the operator’s of Strike Energy’s joint venture in the USA.

In addition to managing Strike Energy’s Australian and USA exploration operations, Don has responsibility for all of the company’s health, safety and environmental activities.

Don received a BSc. Hons degree from the Australian National University in 1971 and since that time has been involved in petroleum exploration and production in most of Australia’s onshore and offshore basins and various basins of the USA.

Outside of work Don has a keen interest in the environment and is a committee member of several community groups.
